SDU

A couple of months ago I went through the certification process to become an SDU instructor. Yesterday I received my certificate and pin!!! I feel official now. I work part-time at Michaels and I was very excited when this opportunity to teach scrapbook classes there came up. I can't wait to teach my first class. Hopefully, that'll be soon!

This Friday is an all day crop at Michaels and I get to work it. I'm planning to work on a board/poster to promote SDU at the crop. Below is the page I created to put on the board. I used only supplies found at Michaels to make it.

My First Post!!!!

Good Morning! Well, I've jumped into the world of blogging. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I will give this a whirl. I plan to make this blog all about my scrapbooking, cross stitching, and my love of Disney.

I've been a cross stitcher for more than 25 years. I discovered scrapbooking a little over 6 years ago and it pushed cross stitching to the back burner. I've been trying to find a way to put my two favorite hobbies together and I've just recently done that!!!!

Below is a page from a scrapbook I am making of my son. I am stitching the monthly Britty Kitty series by Brittercup and will make a page for each month with photos of my son to go along with that month. I plan to use photos of my son from all different ages.

I've also been working on some pages for a swap that I'm in. The swap is a Disney page swap using sketches. Each person in the group makes a page from the sketch assigned to that group. We've all picked different topics (like General Disney, Disney Colors, Mickey Mouse, etc.).
